Webinar Overview:

Register to view this On-Demand Webinar (recorded 15th November 2018)and join Boeing for an overview of data analytics and how it is applied to predictive maintenance. Predictive maintenance is an emerging area in aviation that can reduce or eliminate unscheduled maintenance events and help better manage operational uncertainly. During the Webinar Boeing experts will walk you through their examples from their suite of digital products powered by analytics, including Self-Service Analytics and Reliability Advisor.  The Webinar will also look ahead to what's next in data analytics - the application of prescriptive analytics.

The Webinar is divided into three key sections:
  • Data Analytics and Boeing AnalytX

The Webinar begins by setting the context for analytics in aviation, defining what it is and how Boeing applies it. You will learn how Boeing uses data analytics methods such as machine learning, to read the data, validate the content, correct the data if possible, index it and the store it in a data warehouse for use by data scientists and subject matter experts. You will learn about the four categories of Boeing AnalytX offerings: analytics consulting, digital solutions (maintenance and flight operations), self-service analytics and managed programs such as Fleet Care.

  • The Application of Predictive Maintenance

Next, you will learn how a predictive alert is created and utilized by maintainers and engineers to eliminate potential future problems from causing an unscheduled maintenance delay or flight cancellation. Airline case studies outline significant savings and you will see how data can be used to generate an Optimized Maintenance Program for an airline that reduces maintenance costs and labor based on the service history and OEM data.

  • The Emergence of Prescriptive Analytics

Finally, Boeing looks towards the expansion of its prescriptive analytics capabilities to further help operators improve operational performance and efficiency. Prescriptive analytics uses historical data and expert systems to provide advice on the best option to select for a given situation; for example, on fix effectiveness – helping direct the mechanic to the right part has the highest probability to correct a problem.
Webinar Agenda:
  • Boeing Data Analytics - including Boeing AnalytX
  • Predictive Maintenance - including Boeing Airplane Health Management
  • What's next for Data Analytics? - Prescriptive Analytics
  • Questions and Answers
