flydubai and Evoke Systems score top marks in GCAA Training Audit
Dubai, UAE, June 2011: flydubai’s crew training programme scores top marks in GCAA audit

The month of June has seen the UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) carry out its annual audit of flydubai’s Crew Training programme to ensure it complies with the GCAA’s Civil Aviation Regulations. During the assessment, the Government auditors found flydubai to be fully compliant and gave positive feedback on the EFOS system. flydubai use Evoke System’s EFOS Training Module to manage all their Crew Training and have now completed over 19,000 training records since the training programme began in early 2009.

The EFOS Training Module provides electronic Aviation Authority compliant training forms along with on-line questionnaires and surveys which can be used to deliver technical refresher training and capture staff feedback. These forms, questionnaires and surveys all form part of a managed and auditable workflow system which reduces the airline’s administration effort and provides structured information for analysis. The EFOS Training Module provides each Crew Member with an electronic training folder. Training Managers can access these folders and extract data for trend, risk and performance analysis purposes. The systems is also configured to send trigger messages such as validity dates, pass/fail statements and notification of under achievement (or exceptional attainment) to managers and electronically to the airline’s crewing, scheduling and records systems. Structured training data made can be made available for analysis and audit purposes; this data can be used as part of ATQP qualification. The EFOS Training Module is entirely auditable by the airline’s flight operations inspector.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai, said “We are delighted that we have scored so highly in our recent GCAA audit. Safety is flydubai’s number one priority and this audit proves the airline is operating to the very highest safety standards in the industry. Our decision to use Evoke Systems EFOS Training Module is a key component in our success in this audit and we would like to thank Evoke for their support and service.”

Dr Craig Howard, Technical Director, Evoke Systems said “We are delighted to hear that flydubai’s Crew Training Team passed their audit in such an emphatic way. Our aim is to produce software that’s easy to use and enables our customers to streamline their processes to deliver real operational benefits.”
